Born and raised in the hills of West Virginia, Dr. Sabrina Keigley-Zirkle is a Mountaineer at heart!
Growing up amongst a large family with all different sorts of animals (from fish, turtles, and iguanas to pigs, cows, and horses) helped to foster her love of animals and an early commitment to become a veterinarian.
Dr. Keigley achieved her B.S. in Animal and Veterinary Science from
West Virginia University (WVU) in June of 1998. Then she became a Buckeye fan during her four years in Columbus studying veterinary medicine.
Dr. Keigley earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ohio State University in June 2002.
To broaden her skills, Dr. Keigley then moved her family to Bethlehem, PA. There she practiced in a ten doctor small animal hospital working closely with experienced colleagues and specialists.
Family life called her back to West Virginia for her husband to complete coursework at WVU. During that time, she worked in a four doctor small animal practice and continued to grow as a veterinarian.
Incredible opportunities awaited the whole family in the Cleveland area upon her husband's graduation. Dr. Keigley has family in the Cleveland area and Michigan. This, along with having developed great affection for Ohio during veterinary school days, made Cleveland a perfect place to settle down.
In August 2006 Dr. Keigley started seeing patients at Forever Friends Pet Hospital. "As soon as I met the Forever Friends family, I knew I was home! Everyone cares so much for our patients and their families. They truly do treat each pet as if he/she was their own."
Dr. Keigley enjoys her life in Medina County with her husband, two sons (ages 7 and 12), collie, and two cats. Her favorite things to do are spend time with her family by singing, dancing, playing games, or reading books! She also loves spending time with Lance, her certified therapy collie, visiting those in need of some one-on-one time with a sweet loving bundle of fluff!
She is dedicated to helping not only treat sick pets, but to preventing illness through proper nutrition, exercise, vaccination and preventative medications and supplements. Her special interests lie in internal medicine, surgery, holistic and complimentary medicine.
Dr. Keigley has recently been trained in Craniosacral Therapy for Animals and is working to expand her knowledge and skills in holistic medications and treatments to use in conjunction with conventional medical/surgical treatments.
